10 ZVEI-Directive: General automotive quality agreement for electronic components 11. Notifications and terminations / PCN, PTN The supplier makes the parts available to the customer using the manufacturing process, equipment and location, as for mass production by the customer. If a proposed change requires a PCN, the customer must be notified of the customer`s authorization. A written customer authorization is required prior to delivery of the modified PCN (Product Change Notification) components: a PCN application must be submitted in a timely manner on the scheduled implementation date to take into account the customer`s qualification load and oem approval. The implementation of a NCP must be agreed upon in a joint PRODUCT Termination Notification (PTN) action plan: a request for PTC must be submitted in a timely manner on the scheduled termination date, in order to take into account all the consequences and alternative solutions. Completion of an NPT must be agreed in a joint action plan Customers who have purchased parts affected by PCN/PTN within 24 months or who carry current orders (backlog) are defined separately between the customer and the supplier during the design and development process. This also applies to devices that are not qualified and/or do not have standard sharing status on the customer side. However, a lack of feedback cannot be seen as an acceptance of the change or termination of PTN: long-term delivery may be, according to the ZVEI white paper, a long-term supply of electronic components and assembly to the automotive industry. More information on this topic can be found in the upcoming results of the ZVEI Change Management Working Group. 12. Archive times for quality documents and records: 12.1 The archiving time is to be agreed between the customer and the supplier. As a general rule, the client needs a 15-year archiving period The applicable quality documents and records can be identified according to the rules described in VDA 1 – «Quality Certificates – Guidelines for Documentation and Archive of Quality Requirements and Records.» 10 8 ZVEI Directive: General agreement on vehicle quality for electronic components 9.

Traceability aims to minimize the effects and consequences of quality problems. Suppliers and customers will have an adequate traceability system. Forward Trace: Tracking back: Information needed to identify suspicious material already provided. to minimize the amount that needs to be captured as soon as possible. Information to identify suspicious raw materials and the origin of the supplier. This requires an appropriate selection of the following items: Wafer Supplier Unit Number Lot Test number Test number Reference Reel / Tube Lot Number Date Code Code: identified customer party number and or customer specification number: identified supplier order code: identified Wafer, that were treated as a single group by pre-end manufacturing: identifies parts mounted in the same back-end lot: identifies a subset of the same test run: identified individual packing unit: year and week of assembly (typical format: yyww): Unique code allowing a trace of wafer, assembly and testlos If production must divide in bulk for processing, these new sub-lots are traced in separate batches and not re-mixed.
